Prytula, Au.D Sandra Prytula, Au.D
Director of Audiology



Dr. Prytula received her Doctorate degree from Salus University.  She received her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Wayne State University after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts at Michigan State University. She is currently the Director of Audiology at Lakeshore Ear, Nose and Throat and Professional Hearing Aid Center.  Dr. Prytula was a member of the Audiology staff at Lakeshore for eight years, then went into private practice in hearing aid sales and services for eight years and rejoined the Lakeshore staff in August of 2002. Her primary interest is in advanced hearing aid technology.  She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists (ADA), and the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA). She also holds a Michigan Audiology license.


Paul, Au.D Angela Paul, Au.D
Doctor of Audiology



Dr. Angela Paul completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from Ohio University and journeyed to Michigan to complete a Master of Science degree in Audiology at Wayne State University.  She has been employed by the Professional Hearing Aid Center since 2002 as a full-time Audiologist. She earned her Doctorate degree in Audiology through a distance-learning program in Pennsylvania in 2006. Dr. Paul is responsible for the Audiology staff schedule and supervision of Audiology Externs and Students. Her primary interests are advanced hearing aid technology, diagnostic testing and patient/community education. Dr. Paul is licensed in Audiology by the State of Michigan and has certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists (ADA) and the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA).


Kowal Ann-Christin Kowal
International Audiologist



Ann-Christin graduated as an Audiologist from College of Care Orebro in Sweden 1972. She is currently working with advanced hearing aid sales and service at the Clinton Twp. office of Professional Hearing Aid Center. Ann-Christin began her career as an audiologist at Gothenburg university hospital in Sweden. Her focus for 21 years in Sweden was in the rehabilitation of the hearing impaired, tinnitus training and educating the community about hearing healthcare. She moved to England for 3 years where she concentrated on pediatric testing. From England, she went back to Sweden and was employed by a hearing aid manufacturing company for 5 years. Since 2001, she has been an employee at Professional Hearing Aid Center and Lakeshore Ear, Nose and Throat. Her responsibilities include audiometric testing and advanced hearing aid fitting and service.
Ann-Christin is a member of the International Society of Audiology (ISA), Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA), American Audiology Association (AAA). She is licensed by the State of Michigan to dispense hearing aids.


Lipshaw, M.A., CCC-A Lori Lipshaw, M.A., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Lori received her Bachelor’s Degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Wayne State University.  Over the past 22 years Lori has worked for a non-profit agency, private Ear, Nose and Throat practices, and a hearing aid dealer prior to joining Professional Hearing Aid Center in June 2009.  Her primary interests are fitting hearing aids, aural rehabilitation, and learning about new hearing aid technology.  Ms. Lipshaw is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and has a Michigan Audiology License.


Daryaee, M.S., CCC-A Roya Daryaee, M.S., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Roya completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Hearing Science and her Master of Science degree in Audiology with honors from University of Utah in 1989.  Her experience includes clinical and diagnostic audiology, pediatric evaluations and aural rehabilitation in medical centers, speech & hearing clinics and private Ear,Nose and Throat practices.  Roya has certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA).  She also has a State of Michigan Audiology license.

 


Brooks, M.A., CCC-A Mira Brooks, M.A., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Mira obtained ber Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences and her Master's Degree in Audiology from Western Michigan University. She has more than 15 years experience in clinical audiology primarily in speech and hearing clinics, hearing aid centers, and private otolaryngology practices. Mira is interested in all aspects of hearing healthcare from diagnostics to aural rehabilitation. Mira has certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA) and also has a Michigan Audiology license.


Gale, M.A., CCC-A Aaron Gale, M.A., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Aaron Gale followed in his father's footsteps by becoming an Audiologist. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 1990 and went on to earn his Master of Arts degree from C.M.U. in 1992. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Gale was Board Certified as an Audiologist by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. He is also licensed in the State of Michigan as both an Audiologist and as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Mr. Gale has plans to pursue a transitional Doctorate Level Degree in Audiology beginning December of 2009. Outside of Audiology, Mr. Gale is certified as a Personal Trainer and has been interested in exercise and fitness since 1998. He enjoys the diversity and the challenges presented by these two very different professions.


John Louise John
Receptionist



Louise John is our receptionist at the Professional Hearing Aid Center at our Clinton Twp. office. She has worked at Professional Hearing Aid Center for 9 years. Louise is responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and managing patient and hearing aid orders. She is knowledgeable about hearing aids, the hearing aid fitting process and services provided through Professional Hearing Aid Center.


Summers Debbie Summers
Receptionist



Debbie is the receptionist at the Professional Hearing Aid Center located on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores. She has been an integral part in building the practice and has been with the company for 20 years. Debbie is responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and managing patient records and hearing aid orders. She is also responsible for the insurance billing of both offices.


Chitnis, M.A., CCC-A Roopal Chitnis, M.A., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Roopal obtained her Masters Degree in Audiology from Northern Illinois University. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech Therapy from Bombay University, India. She has 19 years of experience in Audiology, primarily in private Otolaryngology practices. Roopal has worked at the Sterling Heights and Rochester offices since February 2001. Her areas of interest include advanced hearing aid technology and diagnostic testing. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Audiology through a distance-learning program. Roopal has certification through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of Michigan Speech and Hearing Association (MSHA) and Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA) and also has her Michigan Audiology license.

Clinical Audiologist



Susan Potter graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Wayne State University.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in Audiology and Speech Pathology.  Her interests are advanced hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation, and noise protection.  She is a member of the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association (MSHA), the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA), and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is certified through the American Speech and Hearing Association, and holds a Michigan Audiology License.  She has worked in our Sterling Heights and Rochester offices for 24 years.  Prior to that, she worked at Harper Hospital in Detroit.

Clinical Audiologist



Diane obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Wayne State University.  She has worked in the Sterling Heights and Rochester offices for over 25 years.  Diane’s interests include advanced hearing aid technology as well as diagnostics.  She has certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is a licensed audiologist through the State of Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA). 


Scheytt, M.A., CCC-A Jennifer Scheytt, M.A., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist



Jennifer obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University in Speech and Hearing Sciences and then made the move to San Diego where she obtained her Masters Degree in Audiology from San Diego State University.  She started her career at the Balance Institute of San Diego where she received extensive experience in treating and testing balance disorders.  In 2003 she moved back to Michigan and started working in both the Sterling Heights and Rochester offices.  Jennifer has special interests in advanced hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation, and vestibular testing.  She is currently a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAAA).  She also has her Michigan Audiology License.
